Helping the next generation of entrepreneurs

Helping the next generation of entrepreneurs

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of talking to Karen from Founders4Schools. Founders4Schools (F4S) is a UK-based charity that connects young people with business leaders and role models to enhance their career prospects and understanding of the world of work. They are currently running a programme for Scottish secondary school children, funded by the Scottish government, which focuses on entrepreneurship. I was delighted to be one of the business owners approached to get involved with this worthwhile project to help inspire young people. For me, it was all the more important when most secondary school pupils cannot name any women entrepreneurs, that they see positive roll models who are able to inspire the next generation.

We focussed on my unconventional route into design and the importance of small business owners to be multi-skilled.
