How to measure

These refer to garment measurements, taken with the garment laid on a flat surface.

Chest

Measure from armpit to armpit.

Length

Measure from the side of the neck down to the bottom of the hem.

Total sleeve length

Measure from the middle of the neck label, over arm to end of the cuff.

Measurements are approximate due to the stretchy nature of knitted fabrics.

Designers notes - the inspiration behind Towie pattern

The "Towie" fair isle pattern was inspired by the intricate carvings and shape of the Towie ball, a neolithic stone ball from 3000 BC. Found at Towie, Aberdeenshire, the ball is an exceptional example of this type of object and is now housed in the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Over 430 of these balls have been found, mainly in Aberdeenshire. It is unclear what use these balls had and there is much speculation about this. Picture credit: 'National Museum of Scotland' Edinburgh.
