This chunky knit jumper is sure to become a wardrobe staple. It is knitted using the original Donegal yarn in pure new wool, in a blend of colours with the famous Donegal flecks of colour to add extra interest. It features a rolled crew neck with the cuffs and hem finished in a rib knit. 

Mid Grey is a blend of charcoal and mid grey with flecks of light grey and chocolate brown.

How to measure

These refer to garment measurements, taken with the garment laid on a flat surface.

Chest

Measure from armpit to armpit.

Length

Measure from the side of the neck down to the bottom of the hem.

Total sleeve length

Measure from the middle of the neck label, over arm to end of the cuff.

Measurements are approximate due to the stretchy nature of knitted fabrics.

Designers notes - The original Irish Donegal wool

For many years we made our Mens Chunky roll neck jumpers with a range of British wool spun in Scotland. Sadly, the mill closed in 2025 and so the hunt was on for a new range of yarn which could produce a jumper of the correct weight, feel, warmth and colour that we were trying to achieve. After much searching, we settled on the range of original tweed-effect Donegal yarns spun in County Donegal, Ireland. Although a departure from our normal British spinning mills, we thought using the original spinners of this now much-copied flecked yarn was the right thing to do.
